Shows are the touchstones of our club, and every show is like a family reunion!
Competition!
We are lucky to have many shows in Texas (and surrounding states) to choose from, and to see judges from all over the country.
Lone Star Cavy Club Inc. is proud to have a thriving Youth program including many 4H exhibitors, as well as breeder/exhibitors who are experienced and ready to mentor- some of us for almost half a century!
Sweepstakes points are given for show wins, and yearly awards given at our Christmas show.
Fun!
We try to do something fun at a lot of our shows, and costume class is always a favorite!
We also have potluck lunches (for us and the cavies), host pet classes, and Junior Showmanship classes.
National Acclaim!
Lone Star Cavy Club has hosted two national Specialty shows (2019 in Taylor Texas, and 2022 in Tyler Texas), a tremendous undertaking but well worth it!
We couldn't do this without the support and hard work of our club members!
